Who we are
Image Compress (also listed as Image Compress: Photo to KB) is an Android app provided by Inkmal Solution (inkmalsolution). This policy explains how the app handles photos, local files, support enquiries and advertising-related information. Contact: inkmalsolution@gmail.com.
Your photos
You choose which photos the app can access through Android's photo or document picker. Compression, resizing, before/after previews and image-metadata removal run on your device. We do not upload your selected photos, filenames or embedded photo metadata to our own servers or send them as advertising content to Google AdMob. The app does not require an account.
Files and permissions
The app may keep temporary input and result copies in its private storage. Saved images are written to the gallery only when you select Save. Sharing occurs only when you choose Share and select a destination. The receiving app handles the copy under its own policy. Internet and network-state access are used for advertising and related consent services. The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts or precise-device-location permissions.
Advertising data
The app uses Google's GMA Next-Gen advertising SDK and User Messaging Platform. Google collects and shares technical information such as the Android advertising ID (where available and permitted), other device/app identifiers, IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP addresses, ad interactions and diagnostic/performance information for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. For users eligible for personalized ads who choose them, this information may also be used to select ads based on their interests, subject to Google's consent and privacy requirements. Non-personalized or restricted ads may still process technical information. Google handles this information under its own policies.
Your advertising choices
The app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent information and display Google's consent form where required and configured. It does not add a separate age questionnaire or an app-provided option to disable all advertising for free. Google determines whether personalized, non-personalized or limited ads may be served according to the applicable consent signals, privacy restrictions and eligibility requirements. A Privacy options link is shown on the home screen when Google requires a form to review or withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent does not necessarily remove all advertising; Google may serve a permitted restricted mode instead. An optional rewarded ad grants 2 ad-free photo compressions only after Google's reward callback. Credits stay on this device and do not expire; clearing app data or uninstalling removes them. Only successful photos count, and saving or sharing does not use credits. A batch must fit within the remaining balance to be ad-free; otherwise you may choose fewer photos, earn more credits or use standard ads without spending credits.
Retention and deletion
Temporary processing inputs are deleted when processing finishes. Result copies may remain in app-private cache until Android clears them, you clear the app's storage or uninstall it. Saved gallery copies and files shared to another app remain until you delete them in that destination. Local preferences store settings, whether Google consent has been requested, a local app-open visit counter, an ad cooldown timestamp and the remaining ad-free photo balance (plus any unexpired reward from an older version). We do not maintain a server-side account or photo archive. Google's retention and deletion practices are described in its own privacy policy.
Image-metadata privacy mode
When enabled, the image-metadata option removes GPS and personal EXIF camera/date fields, XMP/IPTC and comments from returned copies. Technical colour, orientation and animation information may remain to display images correctly. The option does not hide faces, visible text or filenames. It also does not disable advertising-related IP/device data processing; Google's consent and privacy controls apply separately. Unsupported images are not returned as uncleaned fallbacks while this option is enabled.
Google and other services
Google operates the advertising and consent services under its own terms and privacy policy, which may involve processing outside your country. Ad data is transmitted using the SDK's encrypted connections. We do not add a separate analytics account, login service or image-upload backend. External links and apps you choose to open have their own data practices. See Google's Privacy Policy, advertising-technology information and privacy controls for more details.
Security and children
We use Android app-private storage and restricted read-only sharing URIs for local result files. No storage or transmission method is guaranteed completely secure. Image Compress is intended for people aged 13 and above and is not directed to children under 13. Google's advertising services apply their own age-related and account eligibility restrictions. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to submit personal information. A parent or guardian with concerns can contact inkmalsolution@gmail.com.
Support enquiries
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your enquiry and resolve support or privacy requests, and retain them only as needed for that purpose and any applicable legal obligations. Please avoid sending private photos or other sensitive information unless necessary for your request.
Contact, rights and changes
For privacy questions or requests about information handled by inkmalsolution, email inkmalsolution@gmail.com. Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion or objection to processing. Local copies can be removed using Android controls; Google's own privacy tools apply to data it holds. We will update this policy when the app's practices change and show the revised date.
